Itinerary description
This walk is part of the Delatite River trail which heads up to Box Corner towards Mt Buller. We just did as much as we could reasonably do with a long drive ahead of us and stormy weather closing in. Managed to do five of the twelve river crossings before turning around. Four with bridges, one easily manageable with poles and careful feet placement. Not deep at all.
The trail is well marked and the only trail in the area that we could see - so you won't get lost. It is shared by mountain bikers and horse riders, so be prepared to move out of the way for them.
By starting at Mirimbah car park the walk is on a steady but gentle incline the whole way until you turn around, and then it's gently back down - with one slightly steeper hill.
Lots of bird life near the river - heard plenty of Gang Gangs and saw one too!
A very pretty walk. Enjoy!
