Itinerary description
28 km with about 1200m up and down.
We visited the wonderful orthodox convent of Deir Hamatoura. On Sunday morning, we could even participate to a crowded mass, with beautiful songs.
We followed the cliff to join the plateau and reach a very nice little church.
We the kept going on the crest to reach Mar Seemane, where Saint Rafqa spent her life.
We then returned back on our track, to finally plunge into the Abu Ali Valley. After crossing the river, we climb the opposite side to follow an interesting water conduct that brought us back to the main highway. The last 2 km were unfortunately on the road.
