Itinerary description
This little "one and a half-hour" tour has "relieved" me of many a bigger and smaller sorrow and made me think more relaxed and clearer.
From the terminus of the U4 (ÖBB station) Hütteldorf, the route goes northwards "up the hill", past community buildings and villas. After crossing the Linzerstrasse, the path leads into Dehnegasse and along a canalized stream to the left into the Dehnepark, where it immediately crosses a forest playground and continues on to the Dehnepark pond and then along Rosentalgasse -- along the city hiking trail 4 -- to Silbersee. From there, keep crossing the Steinböckenstrasse (where there is a water hydrant) up the meadows to the Satzberg.
From a small settlement, the path leads downhill to an often dry spring -- which is fed by the "ancestor of the Viennese high spring water pipe" (when it runs, which is rarely the case) -- it goes towards the Steinbruchwiese (touching it only tangentially) down a beautifully light wooded slope -- on the left below the road, you can see a fountain -- to a little bridge.
Cross this bridge and, immediately after the bridge, follow the forest path on the left, which is parallel to the brook. Then continue downhill to the Dehnepark. You can pass the Dehnepark pond on its west side. Then take the ascent path back to the Hütteldorf stop.
It is recommended to download my track because the shape of the path will probably only become apparent after following it.
