Itinerary description

This loop is in the Deer Creek Canyon open space park. The loop begins on trail for hikers only and climbs up with view of the valley and downtown Denver in the distance. The trail goes into the canyon and meets up with another trail that continues up the canyon (bikers permitted on this trail). Take a left at this intersection to head back to complete this loop. First part of this loop is exposed walking in the sun. As the trail comes back towards the start, it goes down through a valley that is shaded. The last 10-15 minutes is out again in the sun.
