Itinerary description
A very easy hike near this small town. I very badly wanted to visit the high mountains but access was an issue so I kept it very local.
The acropolis is 'alive' and well with goats so this was interesting to witness. It's used as a goat 'sanctuary' in a way. The way back to Finike was nice because of the different views and going through a ravine that was practically a rock river. In other words, the water had eroded so much of the limestone rock that it gave it a beautiful look as a natural formation.
All the paths were quite good. After the town limits, I was supposed to stay on the asphalt road on the way up but after crossing a 'mini' dam, a well marked trail appeared (marked red and white) so it was a nice surprise! Then, it was either dirt/asphalt roads or ravines. Difficult to get lost. At the end, I got confused finding the Lycian trail back to Finike but was able to find it easily after going down from the dirt road. See recording for my path/confusion. No drinking water was found.
