Itinerary description
Trek Intro:
We took an unexplored route in Diamer and Ghizer region of GB. Purpose was not only to enjoy the untouched pristine valleys and lakes of the region, but also to open up the trail for fellow nature lovers. During the course of the trip, we trekked for 7 days straight, sometimes 12 hours a day. Despite the difficulty and logistical challenges, the green pristine region was worth every penny spent and every calorie burnt!
Day Intro:
On Day 6, we started in the lush green meadows of Pathero valley. In the first half of the day, we had a climb of medium gradient through, at times green and at times rocky terrain, till we reached the Massive Pari Sar lake. Moving along the right flank of the lake we reached the rocky terrain from where we had to negotiate the steep rocky ascend till the gali, which connected Pathero valley with Bathraite valley. Just ahead of the top, the lake unveiled itself. The descent till the lake was so soothing as the mesmerizing and breathtaking lake was in sight at all times. We camped at the edge of the Maja Sagar lake, making us probably the first group of trekkers to camp at this dark mysterious lake!
