Itinerary description
Trek Intro:
We took an unexplored route in Diamer and Ghizer region of GB. Purpose was not only to enjoy the untouched pristine valleys and lakes of the region, but also to open up the trail for fellow nature lovers. During the course of the trip, we trekked for 7 days straight, sometimes 12 hours a day. Despite the difficulty and logistical challenges, the green pristine region was worth every penny spent and every calorie burnt!
Day Intro:
On Day 5, we started trekking through the Shatichoi valley. The trek had gentle descent through sublime green meadows with blue mesmerizing stream flowing along the trek. After descending for more than 3 hours, the valley started becoming drier and narrower with trek becoming trickier, moving up the steep face of mountain having loose dry soil. After negotiating the Shatichoi valley, the trek now turned leftwards into the Pathero valley, at the junction of two tributaries of Singal Nala. After turning into the new valley, the descent morphed into the ascent. Negotiating the gentle ascent, the valley again started turning green, as we moved up the altitude into moister climate. Almost 6 Km short of Pari Sar lake we camped in a summer settlement inhabited by people from Darel valley.
