Itinerary description
Highly recommend hiring a guide for this walk as the paths are over grown and easy to mistake for animal trails. Machete was useful up-front to take out any stinging/barbed plants. It was hot, humid and slippery. Leeches abound, and we wore knee-length leggings purchased online for ~50THB that did a great job.
There are two minor river crossings close to the end, and a small creek for bathing next to the campsite. April-May is the recommended time to undertake the hike. We had great weather but that is unusual for this time of year (September) but were willing to risk it in order to explore Khiriwong during the mangosteen and durian harvest.
