Itinerary description
First day of base camp trail. Left Jiri at 0800, with a relatively easy hike 400M elevation gain and then drop down to sivalaya, where we had a good macaroni lunch and one of the several restaurants there. After lunch a strenuous hike up the many stepped path to Deorali, of about 800/900M. Not for the faint hearted, but taking it slowly we made it by about 1700.
