Itinerary description
This is a hike of the 5 peaks that give the Knuckles Mountain Range their name. Hasintha Weragala has already written a nice description of the hike in the link here: https://www.thingstodosrilanka.com/knuckles-05-peak-hike-via-bambarella/. A nice short side trip to Knuckles falls is recommended at the end of the hike.
The trail head shown as the ending location of the gps track is reachable with an off-road capable vehicle with some ground clearance. Pavement ends just past the Cargills Kist Knuckles Water Plant, and the dirt road is rocky, muddy, narrow and rough from there.
While many people take time and do the hike over two days, camping on one of the peaks, the trail can be hiked from the trailhead across all 5 peaks and back in 5 hours, including breaks for views and snacks. Bring water and leach repellent. Soaking shoes and socks with a bug spray containing DEET works well.

Thank you for you route! It was HARD technically, especially way down. Please notice that 5th peak is a bit further than you turned back, there is no good route to it but I’ve reached. PS: aware of leeches 💔
