A friendly walk, which can be done with an hour and a half or an hour and three rooms.
No technical difficulty.
We have taken a boat to Kaiteriteri, to Totaranui and, back, it has left us at Awaroa.
At Awaroa there is a lodge with bar and restaurant (I do not know the opening season).
The path goes through the mountain, with some rise and descent, I think that without exceeding the +50 level.
The arrival at Onetatui Bay is quite spectacular: golden sand beach practically deserted with a space for cooking (it is necessary to take the fireplace) and a basin.
With 20 minutes more you will get Tonga Quarry, which only has a sink.
In front of it, there is the island of Tinga, where a seal colony lives there.
