Itinerary description
The stunning Swatayee Dara (سواتايُ دره) is one sublime gorge ahead of Biha, Matta.
From Fazal Banda (فضل بانډه) village on the main Chatekal-Biha Road, a separate road to Swatayee Dara turns to the left (West). This is a concrete road till Jaabay (جابے) from where the hike starts.
The trail passes through amazing streams, springs, forest and lush green pastures. Ahead of Jaabay is Qadar Banda (قادر بانډه) which is off (to the south-west) from the main track. Qadir Kandao / Swatayee Kandao is a beautiful mountain passage connecting Swatayee and Nehaag Dara (نیهاګ دره), Dir, respectively.
A further hike in the direction of North-East along Swat-Dir border leads one to Datkorr Sukai (Datkorr Peak). The views from the top are great and beautiful. One can see peaks of far flung areas of Swat, Dir and other districts as well.
