Note that for most of this hike you cannot use the telephone or internet because the smartphone cannot connect with a Turkish phone provider. In some places it can connect to Greek phone companies, provided you have an arrangement for international roaming. The smartphone can however always receive the GPS signal. I therefore recommend strongly that you download a trail you intend to follow and some maps of the area on your smartphone before starting this hike. In case you should get off the marked trail this allows you then to find it again.
The entire hiking trail from Kargı to Hızırşah is marked with white and red signs. The section from the Domuz Cukuru Cove to Hizirsah is part of the Carian trail.

Burada Domuz Çukuru yönündeki işaretleri takip ettim. Yaklaşık 300 metre sonra yanlış yolu gösteren kırmızı çarpı işareti beni rahatsız etti. Sağa döndüm ve işaretli yolu kaybettim. Daha sonra aşina olduğum ama işaretlenmemiş patikaya geldim, bu yol yaklaşık 200 m sonra tekrar işaretli patikaya katılıyor. English: Here I followed the markings towards Domuz Cukuru. After about 300 m I was irritated by a red cross that marked the wrong path. I swerved to the right and lost the marked path. I then came to the path I was familiar with but not marked, which joins the marked path again about 200 m further on.
