Itinerary description
Who would guess that such an oasis exists in one of the hottest places on earth. Darwin Falls is really magical. A relatively short hike through dry wash takes you too water fall tucked in a far corner of Death Valley. The falls aren't very big but the cool air, a function of evaperative cooling, greenery and an enchanting falls makes this a place worth seeing. Also watch for interesting life along the way. You might see some cactus in bloom, a chuckwalla or other lizards scurrying about. This was one of the biggest surprises I encountered in Death Valley.
