Itinerary description
happy forest - nanmachang reservior- daobei hills- keleyu - botanical garden
route:
happy forest, next to fragrant hills; kuaihuolin in mandarin
-> nanmachang reservior via chenjiagou village
-> charity temple, cishan si in mandarin
-> tanyu village, with restrooms
-> the-other-side-to-blade hills, daobei ling in mandarin
-> keleyu, top in west hills area
-> new beijing lookout, xin wangjing in mandarin
-> botanical garden via a-basin-of-water trail, yipen shui in mandarin
i encountered a crazy wild climbing today. the trail can't be seen in such thunderstormed summer, all bushes growing fast and high. so i made my way by beating all the bushes, some of which so stingy such as sour jujubes and wild black berries.
it's not dangerous, just pretty tough. and you need to do some rock climbing as well since some hills have been cut to get resources. be careful, some stones are frosting. try and confirm before you go ahead.
the sceneries around are so beautiful. so i recommend to hike these trails in winter as they would be much easier to recognize. it would be gorgeous keeping walking on the hill tops.
