Itinerary description

'Shawar' is one gorgeous Valley in Upper Swat. This beautiful hike starts from Pansaat (پانساټ) village. Pansaat chowk is about one and half kilometre from Kuz Shawar (کوز شور) on the main Shawar-Gat road. From Pansaat, the track passes through the forest and series of serene pastures. Landai Sar (8,186 ft. asl.) has a vast top consisting of four domes. It also has a playground for cricket. The meadows atop Landai Sar are breathtakingly beautiful. The meadows reminds that of Doba Dab. Few steps ahead from the peak is Zaaga Kandao (زاګه کنډَو). Zaaga Kandao (8,085 ft.) serves as a narrow passage route between Shawar and Band Pandghalai (بنډ پنډغالے). Ahead of the pass is Karri (کړے) which is a loose-rocky and steep portion of the track. Karri peaked at Shaheed (شھید) [8,465 ft.] and in few meters is Acharo Banda (اچرو بانډه). After crossing Acharo, the route follows through the beautiful trees and leads to the serene Dande Sar (ډنډې سر) [9,152 ft. Asl]. Dande Sar, as its name suggests, had ponds on its top surrounded by a marvellous meadow. A summer settlement exist on its top and having a very kind and hospitable people. Nearest settlements are Kandao Banda (کنډَو بانډه)
on Band Pandghalai side and Shaheed Khpa (شھید خپه) on Shawar side. Next to Dande Sar is Parangma Sar (پړانګما سر)
at [9,400-9500] feet approximately which is the highest peak of this Landai-Dande-Parangma-Swatai Kandao range. Swatai Dara exist on North of Parangma Sar.
