This trail is difficult, especially at the end, with very uneven an rough steps. 1st part (climbing up) was hard, but fun, but climbing down was much less fun. Track is not very accurate and deviate from actual track (OSM is correct).
View was gorgeous. There are benches on the trail, and even few garbage bins.
Thank you all for your comments!
I'm glad other hikers apparently enjoyed this walk as much as we did. It surely was one of the nicer ones we did on Cyprus. If I ever return to Cyprus, I'll surely visit this region again!
I do not remember this trail as particularly difficult, but of course that is a subjective factor, depending on fitness and experience. But with more than 500m of climbing and descending on just 9,75km it will not be easy for many people!
George Shuklin is right when he writes the track is not very accurate. I'm sorry for that, but it was the best I could produce at the time. The track was recorded during the walk and the GPS-device I carried in 2008 was less accurate than what is used today. Moreover, that device could only register/store a maximum of 500 coordinates per track, so some of the details were lost while saving.
The referral by George to the OSM maps is excellent advice! OSM is not only free, but for many destinations also surprisingly detailed and accurate. Unfortunately we did not yet had an OSM map of Cyprus in 2008, but today I totally agree and would call OSM-maps a must have in every hiker's GPS device.
Keep having fun hiking!
