Itinerary description

This hike combines half of the official trail plus unofficial one.
We started from the official trail going along the banks of beautiful Xyliatos dam but then continued climbing on the neighboring hills.

TERRAIN: narrow path in the official part, in the unofficial there are mostly fire breakers and dirt roads. After the dam there is quite some elevation to the hill top then gradual descent. I rated the overall trail as moderate but there were a few difficult parts while ascending.

SEASON: overall trail is in shade for about 50%. However I would not recommend it for warm season.

SIGNS: there are signs and benches in the official part, none of those for the extension. There is a picnic site nearby the dam.

KIDS: the whole trail is for teenagers min or well trained kids if younger.
