Itinerary description
This trail is a nice alternative to Kyparrisia Trail which starts nearby ( https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/kyparissia-nature-trail-first-part-from-prastio-to-summit-prastio-100646454 ). Though it lacks those breathtaking panoramic views but it has river (seasonal one) almost half the length of the trail. As well you may see the nearby quarry from above.
Our starting point though was not the official one, which is lower and which I marked separately as a waypoint.
TERRAIN: A combination of dirt roads and narrow, sometimes rocky, paths. Either way you'll have ascent and descent, which one will be the 1st depends on your starting point. From my starting point the descent was more steep and ascent more smooth.
SEASON: my descending part was partially in shade while ascent was almost fully sun exposed.
Late winter and spring will be the best seasons as the river should be alive.
SIGNS: my descending part had plenty of signs, both direction and plant plates, as well as resting places, while ascending part almost didn't have any (and we got lost at some point).
KIDS: fine for kids as young as 5-6yo with some adult supervision and help
