Itinerary description

This is a very nice unofficial trail in Paphos forest with rather diverse surroundings. It has a picnic site en-route as well as the river which has almost disappeared in these very hot days, however lush vegetation is still present. Beautiful views of the hills covered with forest.

TERRAIN: mostly dirt roads all the way. Mild descent to the picnic site and rather sharp ascent back with some parts on the fire breakers. For easier hiking I would recommend to follow the route in the opposite direction.

SEASON: the trail is shady for about 30-40% with the most shady part not far from the picnic site. There may be quite a few seasonal rivers crossing the trail, thus you may expect some fording during winter-spring season.

SIGNS: there are a few signs of localities and indication of certain places. Despite the fact that it's non-official trail, you'll find a way to the picnic and back without major problems.

KIDS: walkable with kids of 9-10 yo min age. The opposite direction may be walked with younger ones but mind the overall distance.
