Itinerary description
This circular hike combines several official trails with unofficial ones. It includes
- Konnos - Cyclop's Cave nature trail
- Agii Anargiri - Konnos nature trail and
- Agii Anargiri - Sea Caves nature trail
This route encompasses all the must sees of Cavo Greco natural reserve and is a bit longer than the previously walked trail https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/cavo-konnoi-agioi-anargyroi-path-protaras-108112667.
The only exception we didn't climb the cliff with Peace monument this time.
Winter walks bring more colour to the scenery and more wild flora in bloom can be witnessed. This time there were fields of wild daffodils with their divine aroma all around.
TERRAIN: very diverse surfaces - narrow paths, dirt car tracks, clay roads, rocky roads and ex-sea bed formations with plenty of fossils.
SEASON: no shade, in summers walkable closer to the sunset
SIGNS: there is a mix of old and new signs indicating the trails/directions but sometimes you need to check with map where to go. There are plenty of resting places mostly on the first two trails listed above and just a couple on the 3rd trail leading to sea caves, however there are several around the caves.
KIDS: walkable with kids of any age if not the whole trail, you may choose any part of it. There are a couple of unprotected parts which require adult supervision.
