Itinerary description
This 12km trail, around the northern end of Curra State Forest (Gympie) is a a great way to check out some local bushland. Start 2km along Brady Rd from the end of North Deep Creek Rd. We went anticlockwise but feel clock wise would be more enjoyable. We started high up on a 4wd track and headed north up to the highest section of the forest at Bald Knob (300m) where we could see Gympie in the distance. A further 1km along to the west we found a ridge with lots of interesting huge boulders. The rest of the track took us up and down, several steep ridges where we found a very deep, dry creek bed, some old stock yards and lots of beautiful native flowers, before we returned to the start point. Check out our hiking Facebook site for further information "Take A Hike- Qld".
