Visit to Skocjan cave. They are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Price €24 for adults and €12.50 for children under 18 years of age. Inside the cave, photos are not allowed on the guided tour. The visits are only in Slovenian and English. The temperature inside is 12 degrees. The photos are from the free visit, and not guided, which can be done when leaving the guided tour.
The access is very well indicated, free parking. The guided tour begins in the ticket purchase area. We recommend buying them online if it is in summer as they run out. The guided tour lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. The first part shows stalactites, stalagmites,... but from the middle on, which is what we liked the most, you see how the river passes through the cave. It has some gateways enabled.
When leaving the cave, there are 3 options. The easiest is the green one, they take you up by elevator to the ticket area. The yellow one is the intermediate one, you see a very beautiful area, equipped with walkways, going in and out of the cave and the third one, which is the one we have done, is the red one, they indicate 1 hour and a half to do it but it took us 1 hour stopping many times to take photos. You go in and out of the cave, going through walkways and seeing the river. Then you arrive at an area where you have to pass the road, cross a track until you reach the road that gives access to the car park again. The track is not exact due to the poor coverage and it marks 3 km, but it will have been about 6 km in Total, half inside the cave.
