In the heart of Europe is Slovenia, a jewel for hiking and mountain sports. A country where more than 60% is forest and stands out for its unique landscapes. With a population of around 2 million, this compact country is known for its majestic mountains, with Triglav being its highest and most emblematic point. Our first visit takes us directly to the Julian Alps, a majestic mountain range in northwest Slovenia that offers a spectacular setting for trekking and nature lovers. This mountain paradise is also home to charming alpine villages such as Bovec, the ideal starting point for exciting outdoor activities such as rafting and paragliding. With its stunning scenery and exciting opportunities, the Julian Alps are a must-see stop for adventure lovers.
Our case and after a pleasant route through the Triglav we have approached this impressive cave. Discover Skocjanskih Cave, a natural wonder in Slovenia, recognized as a UNESCO Heritage Site. Located in the Karst region, it impresses with an underground canyon 140 meters high. Highlights include the Cerkvenik Bridge, the Hall of Murmurs and the Lake of Murmurs. It offers three routes, we have done the longest, traveling along a beautiful path with walkways through an impressive sinkhole.
Remember to book, as it is very popular and prices are around 25 euros per person with parking included. The route is simple, not very long and the section of the cave is accompanied by a guide who explains the rooms and the first expeditions and discoveries. It is a popular and tourist route, but it does not detract from the charm of the area. By the way, we don't have photos of the cave, because cameras can't be used.

Remember to bring a coat, inside the cave the temperature is around 16 degrees.
