Itinerary description
Cuare Road Falls - Valencia. On this hike we walked up the road about 2.5 miles and explored three different falls and pools on the way. Parking is found near the Wasa main entrance. The Quare River supplies water to the Hollis Reservoir. The Dam which looks like a lake in the mountains is one of the most scenic places in the Northern Range and to visit permission is required from WASA. The overflow of water which comes from the Dam flows downstream to the outskirts of the village. Along its path, the river is worth exploring and to be found are plunge pools and cascading waterfalls. Situated just above the town, the Quare Pools are one of the best-kept secrets of Valencia and a favourite recreation spot for villagers.
