Itinerary description
Although Cruach Mhárthain is a hill at 403m it looks very much like a mountain from all angles below.
That said, it is not as difficult to ascend as it appears.
The remaining remnants of the village set from the classic movie “Ryan’s Daughter” can be found 2.5km into the walk.
There is a gradual climb except for the last 500m before the peak.
