Itinerary description
Very demanding crossing of the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde. Can be done in 8-12 days, with an elevation gain of 8-12,000 m. Only for experienced ultra-trail hikers. There are plenty of basic accommodation facilities in a few small, remote villages. Most exciting countryside with mountains, deep valleys. Bring plenty of waters.
As the entire trail is 'very difficult', most of the individual legs are (easy-) moderate, only in the very western part of the island difficult-very difficult.
