Itinerary description
Trails are unused dirt roads grown over with grass and wildflowers. Mostly wooded but there are several clearings. I had to turn around before reaching the end of the trail. On the way back I walked down some spurs just enough to mark their locations and directions. The creek crossing is easy as the creek runs through a culvert pipe. I consider the trail easy but there are hills, none really harder than the first one (encountered right after the creek).
The entrance and parking area are located on Route 39 on the west side of the highway 0.8 miles south of the crossroad intersection of Nutbush Road, Glebe Road and Route 39. A brown sign saying "Crooked Run Wildlife Management Area" marks the parking lot.
