Itinerary description
Follow forest tracks to N53.16453 W6.23826 where you enter the forest. After a short distance you meet an old stone wall. Follow the wall up hill to a the location on the track where it is easy to cross carefully. Continue uphill along the wall until the slope eases off. From here follow the GPS track carefully. In winter it is easy to follow. In summer due to fresh vegetation it is hard to follow. In July there are plenty of frocken berries from a low-growing deciduous shrub. These are very rich in Vitamin C. The track which become less distinct as you get higher leads to Tonduff, both North and South tops. From here to the lower slopes on Maulin there is hardy a discernible track across open mountain. Descending from Maulin you meet the Wicklow Way and a walk giving great views of the Powerscourt Waterfall. The GPS track returns to the car-park
