Itinerary description
Paid parking $10 cash. There is a free parking by the main road (I can’t say if it’s safe).
Bring a towel or flip flops, you have to cross a river by foot just at the beginning of the trail(water up to the knee May 10th).
I did counter clockwise.
First part up the hill goes close to the sea with nice panoramic views and wildflowers (not so many right now). No shade. There is nothing special at the summit, not a good place to rest nor better views.
The return goes first through a forest with some big redwoods and mountain views. Later is completely opened and no shade. Views to the coast and mountains.
If you want to make the trail shorter I would recommend just to go up to the Spring trail and return. There is access to the beach at that point.
There is another access to the beach at the beginning of the trail following Creamery Meadows Trail.
