Take signed footpath over stile to L of churchyard, follow path along LH fence to cross second stile in L corner of field. Follow field path to cross stile in far corner to horse paddock. Follow LH field boundary to stile and cross lane to path, proceeding uphill into woods. Go straight on at first junction, and climb to junction with the North Downs Way (NDW).

Turn L, following NDW west. A fork, go R to road. Cross with care, turn R along verge to signpost. Turn L, following NDW along L field edge. At gate, cross road to pick up signposted NDW opposite, through kissing gate onto track around Harp Farm, becoming path which swings L to regain crest of the North Downs. Where trail dips and a diverging path descends L, fork R out of woods to follow NDW along field edge under pylons. Ignore first signpost, and follow NDW L at second into woods at corner of field. Continue through yew grove of Boxley Warren Nature Reserve, forking R with NDW, descending to the Pilgrim's Way. Turn R down sunken track, past White Horse Stone, crossing railway, arriving at Shell petrol station.

Follow NDW R of petrol station on subway under A229. Turn L after emerging and pick up signed NDW R to crosstrack.

Leave NDW, taking sunken bridleway L to lane. Turn R to road, and turn R to Little Kit's Coty House (no pavement).

Retrace steps to point 4. Turn L, re-joining NDW to road. Turn up R to cross road, then L down pavement to NDW up tree-covered footpath R. After 250m, leave path L to see Kit's Coty House.

Retrace steps to point 3. Re-cross railway, pass White Horse Stone, but stay ahead on the lower Pilgrim's Way for 1 mile. After permissive route to Boarley Farm, turn R down signposted field path (can get very muddy) aiming for hedgerow ahead. Here turn L onto path following a farm track back into Boxley.
