Itinerary description

Leave from the center of Cortina in front of the bell tower and follow the route on the app out of town. The route is gentle uphill for most of the way. You will pass the bottom of a chair lift and continue up to the top of that lift. You will be on a gravel path before you turn off at a waymark on the 204 and climb up a steeper incline through the forest. Look for red and white marks on trees and rocks but the path is obvious. You will ascend past the tree line where the path will become more scree and zig zag. This is the most challenging part of this walk.
Continue along the only and obvious path to the summit at Forcella Zumeles.
At the top, you have places to walk out to admire the view and this is a great picnic spot.
*We chose to continue on the 204 straight forward but there is a longer option (+45/1 hour) which would require a right turn to follow the 205 to another waymark at Son Forcia/Tre Croci where you would turn left onto the 203.
If you followed our route, it will junction with the 203 where you would turn left onto it. Then you follow this path down through the valley alongside a river bearing right at the second bridge to continue down to the main road where you will see the steps up to the Locande Ospitale.
