Itinerary description

Easy and lovely loop around Mount Tesoro. Leave your car outside Trattoria Al Tesoro and start from there. You will pass the little lovely Contrada Vaggimal and Pozze, then you will descent in Vajo Vaggimal/Vajo del Mortal, through beautiful beech and chestnut woods ( some parts in can be rather muddy in the autumn/winter, or after heavy rain). You will arrive to Ponte di Veja, a natural stone arch (the oldest geological monument of Lessinia), which is absolutely worth visiting. You can also stop in the Trattoria Ponte di Veja, which I highly recommend. From here you take the road for ca 300m and the slowly walk uphill on Monte Tesoro, you will have a lovely view of Corno D'Aquilio, Erbezzo above Vajo dei Falconi and all the contrada along Vajo dell'Anguilla, in the distance Monte Santa Viola, Purga di Velo and further back Colli Berici and Colli Euganei.
Back down on the road you pass the little Contrada of Giare, and if you have some time, visit Contrada Saletti, further down of Giare. Further down the road (this last part is on the asphalt road), you will arrive to Croce dello Schioppo, where the shop of Benedetti is absolutely worth a visit. Here you can find various products made in Lessinia (cheese, ham, wine). Then just follow the road and you will be back to Trattoria Al Tesoro in Corrubio, and if you haven't have you lunch in Ponte di Veja, I recommend you stop here.
