Itinerary description
This is a long, hard day, have a good breakfast. But note, it is also one of the most beautiful.
From Juclar follow the previous days route back down for around 15 minutes then turn off on the poorly marked GR (which is barely a mouse track compared to the main route). This goes uphill, then down with views along the Incles valley. You will cross another impressive valley before starting a rather long uphill section (around 700m), this is broken by Cabany Sorda lake and refuge. You must stop here and take in the views or have a freezing swim.
Follow the line of the dam to climb above the lake. After a long hike up you eventually encounter a ridge, with a well deserved downhill. The second big uphill of the day takes you above the trees, to a rather shelterless section. This is where the weather broke and I got caught in an August hail storm. It hurt my head. Around 2700m there is a mountain refuge (Meners) which could help if you are caught in a similar predicament. I unfortunately was some distance from it.
Once over the ridge, Collade de Meners, it is a generally easy but long march downhill. Your reward is the Sorteny Refuge: by far the best refuge on the walk. Good food, wine, free showers and excellent meals. You can even put rubbish in a bin (other refuges suggest you carry it all back). We stayed two nights, taking the interim day to do a more gentle walk, drink wine and let things dry after the day's storm, see

Please note, I took my route from

The description there is in Spanish. My contribution, apart from making myself very tired, is to write in English.
