Weingut Klink to Crama Mircesti via Năpadeni and Condrätesti
Distance: 19 km (on the end of our tour the gps was not working any more)
Duration: 5 hours
Join us on a picturesque journey from the quaint "Weingut Klink" vineyard in Cornova to the renowned Crama Mircesti winery. This scenic route offers a rich tapestry of history, culture, and nature, making it a perfect weekend adventure.
Highlights:
Historical Monuments: Pay respects at the poignant monument in Năpadeni, dedicated to the village's WWII victims, those deported during Stalin's regime, and the soldiers who fell in the Transnistria conflict.
Cherry Orchards: Traverse through micro-cultivated natural landscapes, where hundreds of cherry trees laden with ripe fruits invite you to sample their bounty. These wild and welcoming trees offer a delightful treat along your path.
Village Life in Condrätesti: Experience the bustling village life in Condrätesti. Despite its size, the village retains a rustic charm with minimal car traffic, mostly replaced by traditional horse-drawn carts.
Idyllic Countryside: The trail meanders through lush green fields, home to grazing horses, cows, goats, and sheep, creating a serene pastoral scene.
Comfortable Route: Although the battery issue caused Wikiloc to record a direct line, rest assured that the actual path followed the street, offering a comfortable walk with only occasional cars, enhancing the peaceful ambiance.
Future Plans: Next time, we aim to explore a direct trail from Condrätesti over the hills to Crama Mircesti, promising even more stunning views and adventure.
Special Suprise:
Aromatic Coffee in Năpadeni: Kickstart of your hike with an exceptional coffee at the local supermarket in Năpadeni!
Short historical chronic about Mircesti:
Mircesti, a village in the Calarasi district of Moldova, has a rich history marked by significant developments during the Russian rule that began in 1812. Under Russian governance, Bessarabia saw an influx of various ethnic groups, including Germans, Bulgarians, and Swiss, as part of a broader strategy to develop the region and integrate it more firmly into the Russian Empire. These settlers introduced advanced agricultural techniques and contributed to the economic growth of villages like Mircesti.
In the late 19th century, the phylloxera epidemic devastated vineyards across Europe, including those in Mircesti. Local leaders played a crucial role in reviving viticulture by introducing disease-resistant vines from other countries. This effort helped preserve the agricultural heritage of the region.
