Hiking: walk towards the confluence of the Coritenza river into the Isonzo. Starting from the ruins of Fort Hermann, in ancient times with Fort Kluže a barrier against predatory Turks, more recently an anti-Napoleonic garrison (soon conquered) and then again an extreme defense against the Italian invasion of 1916. Or the First World War, if you prefer: various routes are followed along what was in effect the imperial valley deployment to the eastern closure of the Plezzo basin (Flitsch for Germanophiles) attacked from the West near Čez Soča by the kingdoms. We refer to that bad story, which ended in 1917 with the gas bombings. Vestiges of this deployment, such as today the Ravelnik tourist educational trail, accompany us crossing the Rio Coritenza several times on modern walkways often modeled on the war ones, up to the confluence of the Soča coming from the Trenta valley near Kal Koritnica (I go to memory) where you can buy good cheese ... Sheep. Amazing flora and woods (I notice a mangy Polovnik from the post-Vaja evictions) and a small Gothic church, a forerunner of the usual Gothic style of local rural churches. Definitely an old anti-barbaric garrison, with its precious spring. San Leonardo: see chained churches of the local tradition

Just beyond the confluence which is reached by returning north on the right bank of the Isonzo and without ever crossing it, you go back up to Kal Koritnica and to the end of this little tour.
