The sleepers protect your boots from the marsh and vice Verda. Lots of tiny orchids and marsh flowers colour the grass. The path turns to stone and weaves between pockmarked rocks. Ahead is Torc Mountain to the left.

The shelter of the steep walls provides quiet and calm for the birds and a diversity of plants, flowers and trees. Birches mingle with the oaks, which leave plenty of fallen wood.
