This is a challenging climb but the views from the top are well worth the effort . We parked about 4k from Maam cross and went through a small gate. If there was a trail of any kind we couldn't find it so we just headed to the left and zigzagged our way up . A good bit of scrambling was called for but that may have been down to us taking the straight route up. We had lunch at the top while taking in the most fantastic views . We descended by following the fence and veering left when needed to take us back to the car . Well worth the effort . Pick a clear day and you won't be disappointed .
