Itinerary description
One of 20+ interconnected walks forming ‘Footsteps in the Forest’ see Lysos Trekkers Group. Please note while these routes are beautiful,. There are no barriers and steep drops plus some loose surfaces. There is strict NO SMOKING rule if in the forest areas as there is a fire risk. Snakes can be encountered as well as other flora and fauna. Take good boots, a sunhat and plenty of water hiking poles recommended. Beautiful walk not really a canyon but valley with fantastic ridge line above. Mixed agricultural forest old copper workings. From Lysos take the Pelathousa road past the village church into the valley bottom 3-4Km. Park near the Peristerona turning on the left. walk starts almost opposite the junction
