Itinerary description

Coomloughra Lakes via the Hydro Road (as in "Walk 20" of Adrian Hendroff's book... "Killarney to Valentia Island"(2015))
The day was overcast with very low cloud, so best for not having to climb too high... though the first 25 minutes along the Hydro Road was the toughest section.
There are three lakes to go around and the views are spectacular (especially on a good day... and best after reaching the highest lake). The other side of the lakes requires some light scrambling around one rocky outcrop but otherwise a nice change underfoot. Crossed back to the original track before the first lake to avoid what looked like boggy terrain... only to discover that there are many streams to cross and probably a greater chance of getting the boots waterlogged this way.
