Site of fullers Earth mine. Made ground
Mines are in the upper part of the fullers Earth formation - grove mine operated until 1960s. Evidence for Roman presence. Fullers Earth help to process wool. Mid 1800s uses for other purposes. Cosmetics etc.

Stop 3- Forest Marble
I-geology shows Forest Marble this is down thrown. Faults down throw to south. On the tramway are pieces of black shale (Carboniferous mudstone) with plant fossils

Limpley Stoke and Cameron railway built over the track of the Somerset coal canal. 1955 it was abandoned
