Col de Jaman - Dent de Jaman - Col de Jaman

Short but steep hike with lots of breaks as the scenery is amazing in a sunny day.

We started it from the parking lot in col de Jaman; next to the restaurant (there are some tables outside where you can have your own picnic). You can also start from the train station in case you don't have a car.

From the parking lot it inmmediately starts to go up and since the very beggining you can see Lac Leman almost till Geneva.
After around an hour we reached the train station (train that goes from Montreux to Rochers de Naye) and it's actually very close to the base to go to the "dent". There is a nice restaurant as well in that station.

The last 200 meters are quite steep and not recommended in case you have vertigo. We saw from people who needed both hands to be able to make it, to a guy carrying his kid in the shoulders and going up easily.
Once you get to the peak, the views are simply breathtaking! 360º view of the lake, alps, mountains surrounding everything, just amazing.

We decided to make a very short way back, so we followed the path "Col de Jaman - facile" and it's probably less than an hour to get back in a wide clear marked path.

Una ruta corta pero empinada con un montón de paradas ya que las vistas lo merecen si el día es soleado.

Empezamos desde el parking que hay en el Col de Jaman; al lado del restaurante (hay mesas fuera en caso de querer hacer tu propio picnic allí). También se puede empezar desde la estación de tren en caso de no tener coche.

Desde el parking enseguida empieza a hacerse cuesta arriba y también casi desde el principio tenemos vistas del lago Leman casi hasta Ginebra. Después de alrededor de una hora de subida llegado a la estación de tren (tren que va de Montreux a Rochers de Naye) y que de hecho está al lado de la base para subir al pico "dent de Jaman). La estación de tren tiene también restaurante con mesas fuera).

Los últimos 200 metros son bastante empinados y no recomendados para alguien que tenga vértigo. Vimos desde gente que tuvo que utilizar las manos casi todo el rato para poder subir hasta un padre con su hijo a hombros subiendo como si nada.
Una vez arriba las vistas son simplemente impresionantes. Vistas de 360º del lago, los alpes, rodeado de montañas, simplemente espectacular.

Decidimos hacer la vuelta bastante corta así que cogimos el camino que decía "Col de Jaman - facile" y tardamos probablemente algo menos de una hora en llegar de vuelta por un camino ancho y bien marcado.
