Itinerary description
Cocora to Primavera.
Tough ascent completed from 2pm to 12am. Walking at night isn’t recommended without a reliable GPS or a crazy companion - but it’s fun. Typical high altitude paramo weather - cold, cloudy, damp, muddy and alot of rain. If you don’t have hiking boots you can hire gum boots at Cocora Valley. Probably a better option if you don’t have waterproof boots. Altitude just under 4000 metres so watch out for altitude sickness. Drink lots of water. Finca Primavera is a great place to stay and the food is awesome. Bring a tent if you don’t make a reservation beforehand. Watch out for snakes down in the valley - my mate almost stepped on one. A great hike - highly recommended!
