Itinerary description
This is a circular tour that I started from the Bello's Apartments.
It begin with an uphill walk to the village of Piskopiano. This village along with Chersonissos is regarded as attractive, but I found their charms meagre. A walk along a road brought me to Koutouloufari and then I walked down the hill to the Star Beach, which is where the coastal stroll really began.
Sometimes the path ran by the beach and at others it was on the beach.
There are a great number of cafes and bars near the small marina as you might expect. The church provides a vantage point to look out over the marina. There is an ancient basilica here but you can't see much of it.
I carried on either on the beach or as close as I could get to it until I arrived at the pretty little St George Chapel.
I carried on walking, but got lost in the Cretan Holiday Village. In truth you might as well end the coastal section at the chapel and make your way back from there. There is nothing on the coast of real interest.Coastal Stroll
