Itinerary description
Sort of surf 'n turf. Park at Shad Sands State Park. Nice, if busy walk along shore along Trail 804; continue as far as you want south on beach after 804 ends, then come back almost to starting point. Then cross Hwy 101 for a bit of uphill through spruce and hemlock forest; new trail, no one else on trail on a Friday. Goes through Gerdemann Preserve, then pops out back on Hwy 101 and back to 804 for quick finish. Not that remote of a walk, but very quick access.
