Itinerary description
Few people on trail, lot of birds out mid-day, very nice. Long down, long up.
"75 Hikes in Oregon's Coast Range & Siskiyous" 2nd Edition said 5 miles round trip. We turned around at 2.9 miles, still in woods, still descending, at small culvert at seep crossing trail. We did not come to meadow, or reach Drift Creek. Looks like another half mile would get to the end of the trail at the creek. Narrow single track road from turn off after crossing Alsea River.
