Itinerary description
Bit of confusion as as to whether this is "Amanda" trail or "Amanda's" trail. AllTrails called it Amanda Trail. No signage on the trail we did. Starts at Forest Service road 511 (parking for six cars, more spaces up at top of road where we actually started. Pass yellow metal gate, and when you get to a maintenance area on the right, continue straight, as road becomes unmaintained. Nice if unremarkable uphill through lovely second growth forest. Tops out just beyond border of National Forest, unfortunately in area of clear cut on summit. Wonderful views of the coast if you visually edit out the debris piles. Not a single other person on the trail on peak July Saturday. Easy access. Do again.
