Wow, looks tough!
Yes, it was, but super cool! Was supposed to be an hour's amble on a day off to explore a valley a bit beyond where we'd been before. Following a path through farmed land, we got so we were tantalisingly close to the ridge. We convinced ourselves we could see the hint of a trail continuing up so we "followed" it - basically became a climb of steep muddy slope through bamboo and vines. Kept saying we'd turn around but both of us wanted to get to the top (had to pull ourselves up last bit using a tree), then came out into a very surprising grassy meadow surrounded by peaks, including, we think, Mt St Catherine's. Was fun but we were exhausted for a couple of days!
