Cloef-Pfad - Traumschleife Orscholz

DE: Startpunkt und Zielpunkt der Tour: Cloef-Atrium Orscholz (Mius-Kiefer-Straße, 66693 Mettlach).
Die Traumschleifen haben teilweise steile, schwierige und bei Regen oder Winterwetter rutschige Passagen. Deshalb sind Wanderschuhe, Trittsicherheit und gute Kondition unbedingte Voraussetzungen zum Erwandern dieser Premiumrundwanderwege. Die Traumschleifen sind markiert und in beide Richtungen befahrbar.

Höhepunkt dieser Halbtagestour ist der schönste Ausblick den das Saarland zu bieten hat: der Blick vom Aussichtspunkt Cloef über die Saarschleife. Seit 2016 befindet sich oberhalb der Cloef ein Baumwipfelpfad mit einem beeindruckenden 42 Meter hohen Turm. Von der Plattform bieten sich einzigartige Rundumblicke über die Landschaft des Naturparks Saar-Hunsrück, die Saarschleife bis hin nach Frankreich.

Am Cloef-Atrium ist die Tourist Information untergebracht, dort startet die Tour. Wenige Minuten später der Blick vom Aussichtspunkt Cloef über die Saarschleife. Seit 2006 ist die Saarschleife „Nationales Geotop.“ Auf der Spitze des hier von der Saar umflossenen Bergsporns erkennt man auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite die teilweise restaurierte Burgruine Montclair. Die 1168 erstmals urkundlich erwähnte Burg, um die sich viele Sagen und Geschichten ranken, zählte zu den imposantesten Burganlagen Deutschlands und galt als uneinnehmbar. Je weiter es im Naturschutzgebiet Steinbachtal nach unten geht, umso feuchter und dunkler wird das enge Kerbtal. Viele Felsen sowie das Todholz sind mit dicken Moosen überwachsen. Dort, wo die Sonnenstrahlen durchkommen, wachsen unterschiedliche Flechten an den Felswänden. In diesem Tal ist es atemberaubend still. Über etliche Treppenstufen und einige Holzstege führt der Weg direkt zum Saarufer. Vom Ufer der Saar müssen 200 Höhenmeter nach oben überwunden werden. Der Aufstieg im Steilhang erfordert auf schmalem Pfad Trittsicherheit und gute Kondition. Der Weg wurde vom Deutschen Wanderinstitut mit 92 Erlebnispunkten bewertet.

Wegbeschreibung
Der Cloefpfad beginnt am Cloef-Atrium, einem Tagungs-Center mit Gastronomie, in dem auch die Tourist-Info untergebracht ist.Vom Parkplatz aus führt der Weg zunächst durch einen lichten Wald auf den Aussichtspunkt Cloef zu. Kurz vor dem Erreichen der Steilkante halten wir uns dann nach rechts, durchqueren ein kleines Tälchen und wandern,  in das als Naturschutzgebiet geschützte Steinbachtal hinein. Bevor der Abstieg steiler wird, erreichen wir einen Aussichtungspunkt mit schönem Blick ins Tal der Saar.  Das enge Kerbtal überschreiten wir mehrmals auf einem Steg, bevor wir die Fahrstraße am Saarufer erreichen. Nun führt der Weg nach links und folgt dem Saarufer bis unterhalb des Aussichtspunktes Cloef. Hier wartet der anstrengendste Teil der Tour auf den Wanderer. In Serpentinen steigt der Weg durch den Steilhang zum Aussichtpunkt Cloef empor und eröffnet unterwegs stets neue Ausblicke auf die Saarschleife. Oben angekommen erwartet uns dann das bekannt Postkartenmotive mit der Schleife der Saar und dem prächtigen Umlaufberg, auf dem man die Turmspitze der Burgruine Montclair erkennen kann. Vom Aussichtspunkt Cloef aus aus folgt der Weg nach rechts noch eine kurze Strecke der ersten Etappe des Saar-Hunsrück-Steigs, bevor er sich beim Weselbach-Tälchen wieder nach links, in Richtung des Cloef-Atriums wendet. Dort ist dann der Ausgangspunkt der Tour erreicht.

C'est pourquoi des chaussures de randonnée, un pied sûr et une bonne condition physique sont des pré-requis indispensables pour parcourir ces sentiers de randonnée circulaire haut de gamme. Les boucles de rêve sont balisées et peuvent être parcourues dans les deux sens.

Ce circuit de randonnée offre, du haut du Cloef et du Kleine Cloef, des vues spectaculaires sur la Boucle de la Sarre. La belle descente par la vallée romantique et encaissée de Steinbachtal, le bout de tronçon le long de la Sarre et enfin l’ascension vers le Cloef par des sentiers en lacets sont une expérience inoubliable pour tout randonneur.

L'office de tourisme est situé à l'Atrium Cloef, où commence la visite. Quelques minutes plus tard la vue du belvédère de Cloef sur la boucle de la Sarre. La boucle de la Sarre est un "géotope national" depuis 2006. Au sommet de l'éperon montagneux, ici entouré par la Sarre, vous pouvez voir les ruines du château de Montclair partiellement restaurées sur le versant opposé. Le château, qui a été mentionné pour la première fois dans un document en 1168 et fait l'objet de nombreuses légendes et histoires, était l'un des ensembles de châteaux les plus imposants d'Allemagne et était considéré comme imprenable. Plus vous descendez dans la réserve naturelle de Steinbachtal, plus l'étroit Kerbtal devient humide et sombre. De nombreux rochers et le bois mort sont recouverts de mousses épaisses. Là où les rayons du soleil passent, différents lichens poussent sur les parois rocheuses. C'est d'un calme époustouflant dans cette vallée. Le chemin mène directement aux rives de la Sarre par plusieurs marches et quelques passerelles en bois. Depuis les rives de la Sarre, 200 mètres de dénivelé sont à conquérir. La montée en pente raide sur un chemin étroit demande un pied sûr et une bonne condition physique. Le sentier a été classé 92 points d'aventure par l'Institut allemand de la randonnée.

Directions
Le sentier du Cloef débute à l'atrium du Cloef, un centre de congrès avec restaurant, qui abrite également l'office du tourisme. Depuis le parking, le chemin mène d'abord à travers une forêt clairsemée jusqu'au belvédère du Cloef. Peu avant d'atteindre le bord escarpé, nous tenons ensuite à droite, traversons une petite vallée et marchons dans le Steinbachtal, une réserve naturelle protégée. Avant que la descente ne devienne plus raide, nous atteignons un point de vue avec une belle vue sur la vallée de la Sarre. Nous traversons plusieurs fois l'étroit Kerbtal sur une passerelle avant d'atteindre l'allée sur les rives de la Sarre. Maintenant, le chemin part à gauche et longe les rives de la Sarre jusqu'en dessous du belvédère de Cloef. La partie la plus ardue de la visite attend le randonneur ici. Le chemin monte en serpentins à travers la pente raide jusqu'au point de vue de Cloef et ouvre toujours de nouvelles vues sur la boucle de la Sarre en cours de route. Une fois au sommet, le célèbre motif de carte postale avec la boucle de la Sarre et la magnifique colline circulaire, sur laquelle on peut voir la flèche des ruines du château de Montclair, nous attend. Depuis le belvédère de Cloef, le chemin à droite suit la première étape de la montée Sarre-Hunsrück sur un court tronçon avant de tourner à nouveau à gauche dans la vallée de Weselbach en direction de l'atrium de Cloef. Le point de départ de la visite est alors atteint là-bas.

The Cloef Path features breathtaking views on the Saarbow from the Cloef and ‘little Cloef‘ viewpoints. There’s also a very nice descent through the romantic   Steinbachtal valley, followed by a stretch along the Saar river before the trail takes you up some steep serpentines to the Cloef viewpoint.

The Tourist Information is located at the Cloef Atrium, which is where the tour starts. A few minutes later the view from the Cloef vantage point over the Saar loop. Directions
The Cloef path begins at the Cloef atrium, a conference center with a restaurant, which also houses the tourist information office. From the car park, the path first leads through a sparse forest to the Cloef vantage point. Shortly before reaching the steep edge, we then keep to the right, cross a small valley and hike into the Steinbachtal, a protected nature reserve. Before the descent becomes steeper, we reach a vantage point with a beautiful view of the Saar valley. We cross the narrow Kerbtal several times on a footbridge before we reach the driveway on the banks of the Saar. Now the path leads to the left and follows the banks of the Saar to below the Cloef vantage point. The most strenuous part of the tour awaits the hiker here. The path climbs in serpentines through the steep slope to the Cloef vantage point and always opens up new views of the Saar loop along the way. Once at the top, the well-known postcard motif with the loop of the Saar and the magnificent circular hill, on which you can see the spire of the Montclair castle ruins, awaits us. From the Cloef vantage point, the path to the right follows the first stage of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb for a short stretch before turning left again at the Weselbach valley in the direction of the Cloef atrium. The starting point of the tour is then reached there.
