Itinerary description
A fantastic walk that definitely lands in the top 3 of walks through the dune areas on the coast of North and South Holland.
Such varied landscapes with valleys, wide open spaces, pine forests, moorland, undulating paths, narrow tracks, extensive views etc. Plus 3 scenic lakes: one an obviously reacreational lake ('t Wed), another more intimate lake (Oosterplas, with swimming spots, at your own risk) and the largest of the three: a bird lake (Vogelmeer). This walk has it all.
Starts from a big parking area (at a fee of 8 euros for 4+ hours) at Koevlak, off Zeeweg near Overveen.
Apart from the area near 't Wed it's really quiet all along the track.
However, you're not far off from Zandvoort racing circuit, so you may hear some motoring noise in the distance on some days, at the beginning of the track.
